Good Word Brewing & Public House Holographic Heart

What the brewers say

This is an English Golden Ale or Summer Ale. Fine English malt and Kent Golding Hops.

What our panel thought

"A nice, but delicate aroma of floral and perfume-like hop notes is supported hints of cracker and pale malt. An initial dose of malty sweetness is quickly overwhelmed by a healthy dose of bitterness that is both spicy & herbal and toes the line of soapy. The bitterness carries through into the finish and lingers on the palate well beyond the sip. | Green earthy moss-like, like wet PNW forest without the pine, freshly turned over soil in a pleasant sort of way; the hop choice is and the extend of the expression shines quite bright for a blunt sort of hop style. Mild but present esters kick off with a low sweet honey quality, approachable and drinkable!"

What our editors thought

"Soft cantaloupe and honeydew melon esters in the nose, with a light herbal freshness. The flavor brings a firm classic bitterness, a bit strong, and little sweetness to temper it. Assertive and characterful despite its small size."
